Privacy Policy

Cranial is a breathing and tones app for iPhone and Apple Watch. The short version: Cranial doesn't collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Cranial keeps a few things so it can work the way you set it up:

• your settings, such as haptics, cue tones and your preferred tone mode;
• the techniques and tones you save as favorites;
• your daily goals, reminder times, and which sessions you've finished, used to show your progress.

All of this is stored only on your device, and shared with Cranial's own widgets on that device so they can show it. It isn't sent to us or anyone else. If you back up your device to iCloud or your computer, it's included in that backup like any other app data, under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes it.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Cranial asks for permission to send notifications. They're scheduled on your device; nothing is sent through a server.

Network

Cranial doesn't connect to the internet. The sounds and field recordings it plays are built into the app.

Health data

Cranial doesn't read or write Apple Health data. On Apple Watch it runs a mindfulness session so it can keep guiding you with your wrist down; that doesn't record anything to Health.

Children

Cranial doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it doesn't collect information at all.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the app does, with a new date at the top.
